when idling, if i hit the gas my car will "Stall" puff black smoke and then takes off. I would call it a bog. It also does this if i'm rolling and let off the gas and coast then nail it. any ideas...
You have to stick a pin through the green wire of the TPS and use a volt meter to check the voltage. Ground one lead and touch the other to the pin. Do this with the key on, engine off. Voltage should be around .9 - 1 volt. With the throttle wide open it should show around 3-4 volts (not sure exactly what voltage). If the throttle position sensor is really bad like mine was then it will throw a check engine light.
guess your probably right ... and it ain't the first time.... good thing i replaced the screws with bolts, i suppose.. could it be anything else though
