Oddly enough, I have never done a coolant change before (it has been done on my car, I just have never done one).

I have one of though Prestone Coolant replacement systems (the one where you have to cut the upper rad hose). Anyways, the instructions say to hook up the system and run the engine until half of the coolant has drained out while filling it back up with the garden hose. Then you are suppose to fill the rest up with anti-freeze. The problem I have with this is that I am putting normal water into my coolant system insted of distilled. Is there some other way to do this? I was thinking about following the instructions up to the adding the antifreeze part and insted I will drain the system and then fill it back up. Would that work? Has anyone tried one of these systems? Also, if I just drain the fluid from the radiator, am I draining the whole system or just the radiator?

Thanks
