btw--a word of caution to any who are welding there cracks
(on the drivers side mostly)the sparks were land on the gas tank
please be carefull
I put a shield over the tank and kept things soaked with water from underneath as the guy was welding inside

I see this problem is becoming more and more common. I had the cracks on my 93 SC about 4 years ago. Do you have big swaybars?

yes- the addco bar in the rear
things really started getting worse though with all poly bushings
and more juice to the wheels

I think the addco is the culprit. Without stiffening the chassis, the bigger bar puts too much stress in that area. That's my opinion anyway :D

I think stiffening the rear has a lot to do with it but my XR7 has cracks bad and it has the smallest bar ever offered on it. Must be the HP. :D
