Great guy very nice car. We discused fixing my 35th. What needs to be done is Motor mounts, power steering pump, and replace the power steering lines. A few other odds and ends as well. I just want to get her back on the road first. I think Z has a plan. I thank him for that. I will let him orchistrate his plan when we get the time and I get the parts. Thanks ahead of time. Jeremy

yea, weather he want's to or not, Z seems to be the go-to guy for us Hampton Roads SCers. :) The man has helped me out on many occasions. He was the first one I met here when I was new the the sccoa.

I've been out the loop for few weeks, my '90 won't start now after installing a new dashboard. I think it's a wiring problem related to my fuel pump. But, we'll see.

Jeremy, are you by change in the Navy and live fairly close to Z. Cause, I live a few blocks from him and I remember meeting a dude w/ a 35th anny in the Navy, I believe named Jeremy. If not...disregard.

Anyway, welcome to the HRSCC. I hope to see ya around...when i get my car started again :(

Yea man,
My brother has a 351W in the shed that he's building up to put in his '88 T-bird. I'm still trying to figure out my car. Wow, you saw my car after I just bought it, I think. It's gone through an amazing rebirth since then.

Later,

Anthony

5.8 Fox body. Nice! Any idea whats up with your SC? I noticed it been sitting for a while. I still drive by it every day even though I moved. Next time we see you out there. We will try to stop.

Well, in replaced my dash and now I think I have a fuel pump related problem and my cars not starting. I believe it's a wiring thing. I'm gonna try and track down the wiring for the fuel pump and see if any of it is different from my car, to the new dash I put in. The "donor" car is at SHO Taurus' house. So Kev, if your reading this I may need to stop over and take a look at the wiring of that car :) I had to do some mixing and matching w/ the wiring due to some option differences. It's probably 1 pesky little power wiring or something that is different from than my car. Time will tell. I'm not working tomorrow so, I'll be out working on my car. So, stop by if ya have time

Later,
Anthony

I think I have the shop manual for the electrical laying around here. If I find it I will run it over.

Anthony, I noticed the SC wasn't there when I got off work. What did it take to get the pump to run?

Pluging in the damn PCM harness!

In my defense, I never touched the PCM to take the dashboard out. So, I never thought to check that connection. I'm thinking I was loose when I bought the car and when I was messing with the other plugs near the PCM, I came loose. The bolt was barly on there and the harness was almost off.

I consider this a BIG learning experience. I know the electrical workings of my car now! All is well now. I'm working in the evening tomorrow. But, if ya want to come Wednesday and pick up your book, ya can.

Thank you very much,

Anthony

I attest that Z has also helped me out more than once including during the period of time when I was shopping for an SC and then again when I had issues with my ride control and again when my CD unit went out. The man is a wealth of knowledge and hes saved me a lot of hassle with my car. I look forward to getting my car in show condition and coming down for shows and finally meeting him.

Thanks Z, I know Ill be having more problems and will be thanking you again, lol

I was thinking about getting a manual one. Of course, i'm still short on cash from the last disaster purchase, but there's a chesapeake red one being advertised. I think you even responded in that thread.

I need to get rid of my mustang soon anyway. It hit 150,000 miles yesterday.

Hey Jay,

How well was that brake unit working when it was in your car? Are you sure it was rebuilt? How long was the car sitting?

The unit was totally clogged in passage ways where the pump motor/the accumulator/the pressure switch all screw onto. A diaphram in the reservior was closed shut as to not let fluid through the nipple and I am now getting an ABS and Brake indicator lights flashing and the pump motor turns on with every step of the pedal. Usually that means a bad accumulator. But not it this case.

I replaced the clogged pump motor housing, replaced the reservior and got it working. I replaced the accumulator today and the indicator lights are still flashing at me.

I'm wondering if you had any braking problems when it was running?

I hope you can shed some history on this for me. Thanks,
Anthony

Oh man, i'm sorry. I was never able to drive the car. I was under the impression that it was in good working order since I have the old broken one in the garage. I know paul was a frequent visiter of junk yards; He may have got it from there if it's not new. The car was sitting for about three weeks in my driveway, and I think paul had it sitting for several months while trying to sell it.

So is it working now? I feel bad selling a ****** product. Would you like me to refund you some $ ?

Hey Z my Lightning motor went boom. :( I just bought a 03' Lightning long block with 2272 miles on it for $2500. Guy took it out to put a built race motor in his Lightning. 03 & 04's had better heads on them so I guess I made out. Another fellow Lightning owner and me are putting it in this weekend. He has all the right tools, hoist and stuff. Goodtimes (I guess) :p

This is the first motor in my life I've ever blown. In Sept. I did 406rwhp/515rwtq and 12.58 @107 with a crappy tune. That is why I cracked my head then blew my motor was all from a crappy tune. I'm going to DTP when my truck is back to normal for a safe tune then in spring sometime I'm going to go to either Johnny Lightning or JDM for race and a safe tunes.

I went to DTP yesterday. SMS had my timing at 25 degrees which is way way too much. They said on the street I was probably seeing 30+ degrees. That is why my motor went bye bye. It's at 18 degrees now. He said when I'm going to run somebody I can go into my predator and advance it to 20 if I want to and if I have good gas in it maybe just a tad bit more. My new dyno numbers are 422 hp/545 tq I believe it was. Might have been like 424/545 somewhere around there.
