Model Number 542079, it is the high performance series for 8.8 28 spline. I am not sure if the c-clips will fit. I know the 542080 works, but am not sure about the 79.
Thanks

As far as I'm aware, any 8.8" carrier will fit, and mustangs have C-Clips, also. These bad boys are nice diffs.

There is a significant difference between a diff that is designed for C clips and one that takes the snap in IRS shafts. The IRS requires that there be a groove machined in the splined part of the spiders. Not all 8.8's are like this but they have been made this way for quite a few years now. Check for a lateral reciever groove in the spider gears.

I don't know anything about Auburn part numbers.
