Re: Mission Tonight

HELL YEA i'm going, i have a few ideas for a quicker time, but we'll see :) i'll keep the time slips, and let you know how i run.

Re: Mission Tonight

Jamie, so I don't forget to share if of interest:
On April 29 I'll be in Mission for pit crew support
to a lady taking her first racer's day finals before
being certified.... Will be a fun, fascinating day
there! So, anyone free and wanting to see
something 'totally different' come on out and
'talk 'n gawk' ! (I'll be there in my bird!)

Re: Mission Tonight

car was a dog tonight...15.2@86mph. and a 15.3@87mph. Time to order a few things this week. It was nice to see you there Alex, and Shawn.

Re: Mission Tonight

And you never stopped by at PK we are ashamed of you now, everyone was there.

Re: Mission Tonight

Ya, no problem.......I didnt look at your speed before but ya, you can tell that the gears are givin you a lot out of the whole, but something needs to be done for more horsepower top end.........You took off pretty quick, then that other dude caught up to you on that 15.3 run.......Hey, Jamie, call my house today and leave your cell number or what not.......Then when I get off work ill call you and we can meet up, head off to discount tire........My # is (360) 332-7513.......LEAVE YOUR NAME AND NUMBER THIS TIME.......peace

Re: Mission Tonight

Yea i'm getting a huge jump off the line. Finally getting traction.

hmmm

what was your before and after 60 ft times? From when u did the gears?

Ray

Re: hmmm

I dunno? i had nuthing new done to my car since last year when i ran the 15.1

Re: Contrasting specs on new Bird vs Yours !(!)

Jamie: Your current specs per se aren't anything
to be ashamed of, especially when viewed in
context:
NEW Tbird specs:
60= 7.7 secs
1/4= 15.8 secs (Hey, and u did what???!!!!!)
@ 92mph.

AND that sucker is rated @ 252 HP !(!) And uers??!

So, seems to me on the face of it: You did GREAT!
(Yeah, relatively speaking!)
Peace, virgil

Re: Mission Tonight

That seems kind of slow Jamie, what mods you have? If I am correct in assuming which mods you have, you should have a 14.8, especially with your previous driving experience

Re: Mission Tonight

I have 10%, Flowmasters, ZR intake, and 3:73's.

Re: Mission Tonight

The full flowmaster exhaust, or just flowmaster mufflers.

A lot of people have run mid 14's with just your mods, or a 10%, exhaust, and shift kit.

How are you shifting the car?

Re: Mission Tonight

Full Flowmasters Force II, and i run in OD. 18lbs boost, tranny could be slipping...

Re: Mission Tonight

You run it in overdrive? Thats the problem, you lose mega power if you do that.

Try running it in D, or if you want to shave more time off, start in 1, then D. If you really want to get adventurous, go 1-d-1-d

Re: Mission Tonight

And get ready to shell out more money for the tranny rebuild.lol.

Re: Mission Tonight

Actually, if you ask, running it in 0d hurts it more then the 1-d-1 shuffle.

I haven't hurt my tranny yet (barely ever do the 1-d1 tho), but when I had it rebuilt I upgraded almost every part in it

Re: Mission Tonight

I heard in D its bad Taze. By the time you get to the end of the track your at 160kmh. which is a little high for D.

Re: Mission Tonight

Busted Trannies are good for business!!!!!

Re: Mission Tonight

Jamie, run it in D then when u get to a certain point throw it in OD.

thats how i drive around town, and if u do it right, the car will just launch when u do put it in OD
