Wheel Haze

Does anyone have recommendations for cleaning up the factory wheels. I dont want to put any of the cleaners that remove the clear from the rims. They haven't been cleaned well and I would like to get the most out of them before new rims. Thanks

They're clearcoated much like the majority of car paint, so you can use a polish to bring up the oxidized clear.

Start out with a light to medium cut polish first. That paint is thin and is probably much thinner by now, after many years of use and cleaning, so try and avoid going to a rubbing compound unless it's a last resort. Once the clearcoating is gone, refinishing is the only remedy.

3M Finesse-It Finishing Material, Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner Polish, Meguiar's Scratch X, and Kit Scratch-Out are a few that will fit into the category you need. Good luck .
