Best Air Cleaner set up

On my 91 SC i have the air silencer removed and just have a standard air filter in the box. I am trying to find out what air filter will allow ,most air to enter the intake system. Either a K&N for the stock box or a external K&N cone that mounts where the air silencer was. A cone in the engine compartment doesnt make to much sense to me because the air isnt as cold as it would be from the external cone or from the box which sucks in outside air. So which of you guys has actually dynoed the difference or are certain one works better then the other or know of an even better set up? Thank You

There is actually a cold intake kit form a SOHC Ford Focus that will work on our cars, and allow the use of a K&N filter if you so desire. It comes with a cheap one, but some of the guys with these have just put a universal conical K&N filter on instead.

Do search, but here is the one I recently found. I ordered this one. I had to ask him to put anotherone up, so you may have to do the same...
