engine rebuild prices

I was searching for a thread that I seen that listed all the costs of having your engine rebuilt. For example, I want to to bore it over to a 4.0, of course get some bigger rings and pistons, have the crank turned, block decked, hot tanked, heads ported, mild cam w/light weight valve train, new freeze plugs, ect.... About what each item costs. I want to purchase a separate engine to rebuild and drop into my car when my present one decides that its had it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

1300$ stock rebuild, .030 over

I had a shortblock rebuilt- bored .030, with gaskets 900$. Had the heads rebuilt at a different shop, no mods, 200$. Misc parts and resurfacing (clutch kit, flywheel, tranny seal, paint) 200$. Assembled and installed myself. Here's a good baseline to start from. JJ
