Autometer Speedometer Question

I'm putting all Autometer gauges in my car. I just bought a mechanical speedometer. Is there any way to make this work on my '93 SC? As far as I know, our cars have electrical speedos. I know I'd have to get a custom speedometer cable, but I'm not sure if this would even work. Any ideas?
 
Send it back and get an electronic speedo.

Pretty sure you can't convert to mechanical with our transmissions, anyways I think the computer uses the signal from the speedometer sending unit.
