Shifter alignment spring?

I have a 93 SC with the manual trans. It shifts fine, but for some reason, the shifter alignment spring or whatever this model uses doesn't center the shifter coming out of 1 & 2 to go into 3 & 4. I feel the pressure on the 5 & R side. I would like to fix the problem so I don't inadvertantly go back into 1st from 2nd or accidentally go all the way into 5th. Anybody know wher i can get the part for my shifter and how much work it requires to fix it? I would prefer to stick with this shifter rather than purchasing the B&M Ripper. Hopefully I explained myself right.

Here is a link to a thread where rebuilding the stock shifter was discussed. There is an article in there written by some guys that outlines exactly how to do this with part numbers.

The numbers have changed since the article was written, but basically you can rebuild the stock shifter for less than $50.00 yourself. That's what you are feeling in the shifter, the need to be rebuilt.
