Hail Damage!

Well, since living in Colorado Springs I have never experienced hail as bad as it was on the 9 July...Just a little smaller than golf balls on the Air Force Academy...I was like, "Eh, I got a bada$$ american car...no hail could damage it...it has a cool shield and all."

I was wrong. I got 2 estimates, filed a claim with GEICO, and I am fileing a claim with the base(I'll say why later)...well, just to say, from a body shop, my estimate was $2915.26, from the Ford Collision Center it was $3118... :D

Now with the base claim thing...Since the military is forcing me to live on base, in the dorms, parking in an open lot. They provided me no cover for my car. Well, since I only have Liability, I was like eh, I'm not worried about it...then I found out the base has to pay for my car to get fixed:D...Read 1st few sentences. Anyway...if you guys want to get some stuff done to yours cars, move to colorado, and make sure you have either comprehensive or full coverage on your cars and the insurance will take care of it....:D

My mother just got the claim # for my money!! I told the military that I would be living in Hampton, VA, when I get out...I'm still in colorado, anyway, she just got the check today for the $3000 that the base is paying for my car!! YES!! It was signed on 9 Sept, in a couple of days, I will be getting my damn money!!

First thing to get fixed, right rear quarter panel, brand new one welded in for 500, then a new hood...maybe cobra R, still debating, new front and rear bumpers, and get it repainted...by MAACO...I know, but at least it will look good till I get a real paint job...I can't wait!!

Congratulate me now!! Well, not really...I'm kidding...hehe. I'm just saying I can't wait, that's all.

wow, thats some good stuff dude. i live on fort campbell and we have some nasty storms come through here once in a while. every time i hear hail over the radio or on tv i start freaking out since i cant afford full coverage on my car. so far i've gotten lucky. lets hope it can hold up.. haha
