So....as I'm talking with Victor(Spinningwheels) as I usually do, we came across Autometer's Intake temp. gauges. Which are neat, and would be beneficial to the SCs becuase of the heat generated by the blower, and to see if the IC, IC fan, cooling stuff, etc. is working at top notch and what-not. Just wondering how many people would have intererst in something like this to be provided possibly at a lower cost than retail (retail is around $210 for it).

Basically, I'm just trying to see how many people may be interested it this gauge for tuning/monitoring/whatever purposes.

You can monitor intake temps via the existing AIT sensor for very little investment. See details discussed in this thread: http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?p=309744#post309744

It might be cheaper to adapt one of these 12-volt fan controllers for PC's. It includes sensors and shows temperatures. The typical range for these sensors are 0-194 deg F, which is OK for the cold side of the IC. More likely you will be taking the temps of the pipe, unless you drill and epoxy the sensors into the air stream.

Here is a higher heat range of 32 to 392 degrees F:

Very interesting, just may have to play with one of these. Would be great for regulating a water/air system's heat exchanger fan and water pump.
