ABS Light Issue

I have replaced my ABS unit due to loss of power brake pressure. It was done at a shop. Now the problem I am having is that when I hit the brakes the lights flash on, the ANTI LOCK and BRAKE light both flash then go away. Is this a fixable problem??? I was thinking it was a bleeding problem. But I figued someone on here would have had this problem. The car is a 1990 5spd. Thanks.

If you put in a used ABS unit, like most people will do, then the accumulator (Black steel ball thing on the side) is most likely worn out from age. You can get a new one from Ford or from prior. I'd post more info, but this topic comes up a lot, so I encourage you to do a search for "ABS accumulator" and read some of the threads. As for driving it, as long as you have power assist, and the lights go out, you won't have ABS, but the car is safe to drive. It will eventually degrade to the point that you'll lose power assist also, so don't wait too long to fix it. :)

Here's a few to get you started:
