Now that the cops have the authority to take your driver's licence away on the spot for undefind lengths of time for; steet racing, road rage, aggressive driving, speeding, and not wearing a sealtbelt, not to memtion the other usual things. So, Bre and I will probably kiss PK/friday nights good-bye, until the club finds a new meeting place.

dude ,that really sucks that yournot going to come anymore, though i do see your point with the cops and all, but we never do nothing wrong, so I don;t see us having any real worries.
But if it does get back we will most likely meet somewhere new, we'll see how things actually go for the next while.

Eh, Bill, I think Stephan is onto something we as
a group do have to confront: The "future" of PK !
Whereas we did kick it around in an earlier post,
I thought then, we sort of, agreed to a new
course of action, due to the present over-reaction
by the cops (what else is new by these characters!)?
SINCE we meet at PK more out of habit THAN
considered opinion, u guys should now mature
the purpose to this location DUE TO the changed
environment, not to mention culture.
As u say, we are not even technically part of the
PK crowd!!! And now that "it" is perceived as a
problem spot by the authorities, like, are we dumb
or just normally inactive UNTIL @#%$ happens,
and we move our butts, or what...?
So, come up with whatever u want, but I too,
as I'm sure Tim, Miles, and such, aren't to eager
to be harassed needlessly by cops just trying to
get brownied points for both their bosses plus
the press !(!)
As last left, find something not far away, even
at the Starbucks in Langley!!! From there, those
of you in the younger generation, can drive up
to PK whenever, and get whatever kicks it is
that is to be gotten there. (I neither need PK nor
does it do anything for me whatsover: I go there
ONLY to meet this SC crowd. Period!)

Hey, Kev, that Starbuck's in restaurant row,
as I teasingly label it, right on 200th !, has massive
parking lot, that should easily accommodate our
group, plus providing better lighting for our interest
to view, talk'n gawk...etc. !

So, are we actually going to do something about this or just sit on our asses like some usually do!

Jamie, don't knock the name.
I am only trying to save some people from a little trouble. Maybe we should form two meeting spots, P/K and then one for those of us who would prefer to stay out of harms way?

Jamie, lay off the guy ok, i share some of his same thoughts as well, like i said above, we should see what happens with PK in the near future then make a decision!

Personally, moving is something i like, i personally have no use of the what PK was about (as if it ever happens anymore) and usually go just to either past time or just to hang out and chat..
But his to his own

i'm sorry i don't even know your name, not like it matters anyway, i'm just saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with us meeting at PK, there is no harm in it at all, the only harm that comes from it is if you get pulled over for whatever reason, and you have something illegal in your car/on your car, or if you did something illegal, the cop is only doing his job, thats all. As a law enforcement officer he has the right to give you tickets for things that you seem to think are bogus etc. but in actuality 90% of the officers let you away with lots of stuff.

Anyways, PK is good for the club to be seen.
The cops never bug us.
You always buy a mocha and timbits so you are technically not loitering.
Your car is 100% stock
Whats wrong, we discussed to move or shall i say set up a second meet place for rainny days, which will be talked about more later.
i think whoever wants to go to Port Kells can go to Port Kells, those who dont want to risk getting a fine ( or worse ) can find an alternative. There are members who would want to do both, im sure.
personally, I enjoy the atmosphere that the location has on a nice clear friday night. I dont know of any other place that offers the same feel that Port Kells does. Sure, the police are cracking down on those who go there but...in reality all we are doing is going to Tim Hortons for coffee and donuts. So long as we are out of there by 11:00 it should not be a problem!
and Jamie, I would appreciate it if you showed a little bit more respect towards our members and their opinions, please.
