Boost ?

Is it possible to lose boost while accelerating? Or do I have a vac leak?

yes-id say a slipping belt would cause you to loose boost as the engine rpms increase. mike

i never had a belt slip i would make sure the boost bypass valve is working and boost solinoid on some older models is working or check for clogged converters or fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator , on my 89 i had to bypass the boost selonoid it must have went bad i just plugged the 2 vaccuum hoses to it together its near the hood hinge on the drivers side

Thanks I'll go out and check it. Should I buy a new selonoid or plug it up like you did?
