Anyones exhaust tone change after doing a intake?

Hey guys, I have mentioned my exhaust setup before,I have 2.5" downtubes, no cats, a magnaflow 2.5" in 3" outlet; with that 3" outlet adapted to the stock intake.

It was a little ricey around 1500-1800 RPM.

And then I did the intake...

I used a cheap ford focus intake kit off ebay, and made it fit. Its about 3" in diameter, and the filter is fitted below the stock box location in the fender well...

Now it sounds ricey at all RPMs???

Does this make sense?

I did have the whole system removed while I rebuilt the AOD over the last week, but I can't imagine what difference that would make... It doesn't seem to be leaking or aything...

Hopefully those 40 series flowmasters on the way will help that out...

How is thr A/F ratio changed??

Doesn't it adjust fuel according to how much air is going throuhg the MAF?

Does it just need to to re-learn the difference in MAF voltage at a slightly different RPM?

It actually didn't sound as bad this morning, maybe I'm loosing my mind...

Oh, I forgot that I did change the O2 Sensors, maybe it is alittle more respaonsive to adjusting A/F..

Good thing is that I can't tell much of a differnece in the sound on the interstate at and around around 80 MPH...
