More than likely, next weekend, me and so far, two other of my buds are planning a track day.

My buds 97 Trans AM and my other buds 97 Neon.
We should round up some others, definately get something going, I like the thought of beer night too. Whatever works. Alyn.

I am in Crown Point IN. About 45 min. SE of CHI TOWN. I would love to get together with other SC guy. Mine is currently in the paint shop, for about 2-3 more weeks. Then will probably spend the winter in the Garage. This spring, though, it will be back out and hopefully ready to run. (in the 13's even if its 13.99) PRAYING! But if ANY ONE has any SC Q's or just wants to shoot the  GET back to me.

do what we must, im sick and tired of every 1 else getting together and having all the fun...
I will work on it today to see what we have to do to start our own chaper. As close as Union Grove is we should be able to have a few get meets there and some other stuff we can think up. A group Dyno tune would be cool. If we can get enough people at it Dave will come out and do it. If you do mods its a great idea. I have a chip and had it dyno tuned but since then I have done more mods and need to have it done again.

I will be moving back up north soon and I'll come over to Chicago and hang out. I was there a lot in December and January. Every weekend I was in Mokena and Orland Park and Tinley.
My friend moved to Mokena and I was hanging out with him every weekend since my girlfriend moved to Virginia. Now I'm in Virginia and we are moving back to Michigan. I'll be right across the lake in St. Joseph again. It's about an hour and a half drive for me to come over to your side. So I'll have to meet up with you guys. Rich sounds like a good idea. I am off more on weekdays than I am on weekends but if I had 2 weeks notice I could request a Saturday off. I can usually be free any Monday-Thursday evening if you guys are up for a week day meet.
Another place I have in mind is Steak and Shake on Harlem Ave. in Tinley Park, I was out near there a few weeks ago on a friday night and there was a huge cruise in of about 150 cars. A bunch of stangs, f-bodys, about 7 grand nationals some on slicks, lots of older muscle cars, and lots of the guys were setting up races and heading off to the back roads to run. I stopped and they told me that this is a weekly deal on friday evenings around 9:00 pm. So maybe we could all attend this cruise in. Maybe rich could take some money off the LS1 guys...

I went to Exhaust Works this morning on a good friend's recommendation. I ran screaming when the guy told me I MUST get a 3 piece catalytic converter "assembly" out of his book and that the largest diameter I could get that in was 2". The dude was nice enough, but for advertising "complete custom exhaust", the place falls short of that. He claimed that emissions regulations forced him to order these vehicle specific cat kits, and that he wouldn't "risk his business" doing what I asked. Gee, and all this time I thought passing emissions was MY problem?
So, I called McHenry Muffler and the guy there has absoulutely no problem putting in 2 2.5" hi-flow cats ala the SCP system. I will be heading up there this afternoon, so at least taking the day off work wasn't a total loss. Thanks Tim!

Really, I went to the one in Montgomery and he told me the only thing he would put on was a 3 piece 2" cat setup out oif his book. Said he couldn't "risk his business" putting in 2 high flow cats. I was like ~~~ mate, so you're telling me you don't do custom exhaust like you advertise? Maybe he just didn't want my business, but that's his $600 loss. My needs were met - resistance, + enthusiasm at McHenry.
I am going with 2.25" downs into 2 2.25" hi-flow cats into a magnaflow 2x2.25" to single 3" resonator, then split in the back to 2.25" duals with Flowmaster 14" mufflers. I wanted him to put something longer in for mufflers but he said that was the longest he could cram in there, so we'll see how it sounds. I'm waiting on the resonator to be delivered before I can get it done.
