lowering issues

I am thinking of lowering my car by chopping a set of stock springs and putting them under my car. Does anyone know if this will change alignment, or toe in, shock travel, or any suspension problems. Thanks for the info

Stock spirng are progressive..I'd just shell out the less then $200 bucks for s/t sprinmgs from shox.com

You shouldnt cut progressive springs

Lowering...

I have done this way back... I chopped the front springs to lower the front
exactly 3" and the rear I replaced it with S/T 1.5' lowered springs , then I put
my subwoofers in ( 2x15" Tad 1501b ) in a AP box , then the 3/big Alpine competition amps. and 3 studio eq/x-over. plus an Optima batt. All these audio
gears lowered it almost another inch. so I end up with 2.5"`drop in the rear.
The car sits perfectly even. then I did the wheel alignment right after..
the mechanic told me not to lower it any more, cuz the adjustment is near max.

There are lot's of shock travel, these cars could be slam even lower. but
it gets too impractical. I don't have too much problem going through speed bumps or train tracks. (going over slow of course) ..Only some droped or sloped exits.

Upgrade your exhaust.. like the resonator might be a problem. Specially the Magnaflow Res.. it's 5" and the stock res. is 3 1/2". Borla is a little better@ 4"

Hope that helps.. :)
