Suggestions for the next National Meet:

All suggestions are open for discussion and interpretation. All items should be voted on, such as, registration fee, Food/Caters, Sponsors involvement in Performance Day, which tools to bring, volunteers.

* The National event should be changed to a four-day outing, such as, Thursday through Sunday.

* Everyone must pre-register with a set registration fee.

* Meet and Show night. Everyone will gather one night for dinner at the hotel. The registration fee will be used to pay the caters (Money left over can be used for beer/soda for later that night). This will allow everyone to gather for dinner and then afterwards allow people to talk about cars in the parking lot. It's encouraged for everyone to open car hoods and mingle with people after dinner. Dinner should be early to allow mingling in the parking lot afterward.

* Performance Day. Three, preferably, four individuals will volunteer to install modifications on cars. The Sponsors who sell parts will provide lunch for these individuals since they are volunteering their time to install the parts. Volunteers will need to bring tools.

* Sponsors can sell parts for installation by the installers. Individuals can purchase a part from the Sponsors at the meet and have that part installed (i.e. supercharger pulley, supercharger belt, quick change pulleys, spark plug wires, etc). The items installed will need to be easy to do without taking up too much time to install.

* Individuals can purchase an item from a Sponsor before the meet and pre-book install time at the meet on a first come first serve basis. A spreadsheet will be kept to track purchased parts before the meet for installation at the meet.

* Dyno Day.

* Track Day.

* Raffle.

Those are good suggestions. I think we will get more and more organized as these meets continue.

Duane and Everyone that attended.

I think your comments are great and the kind of stuff we need to make the next National a grander scale thing where many many more can participate. I encourage everyone to add to their comments both postive and negative of what they would have liked to have seen at OKC and what we want to see at the next one.

The biggest thing is that I think everyone at the helm of the major clubs realizes the need for our own MN12 annual events like many other car clubs (of specific models) do all across this great country of ours.

Stay tuned as I will ask for more input and help in the coordination to make this bigger and recruit bigger guns to help in this endeavor.

For starters look for the "www.MN12nationals.com" domain name to start this thing into the future. It will help to attract sponsors from the SEMA conventions and the like (we hope) and begin getting more serious recognition for our MN12 cars. This site will not be there to challenge SCCoA or TCCoA, only to offer a big congregation point for an annual event (maybe an East and West one too).

Want to thank everyone that came and participated on this shoe string budget thing that we put together. I should have a full account to everyone by this weekend. Work has priority this week.

to all,
every show that has ever been done has to start somewhere, i think that OKC was a great start to the MN12 National. It can only grow from here. When other people (ie magazines, performance companies etc...) find out about what we had at OKC they will get on board and help sponsor or promote the events. with the upcomming website this event wil grow.

I figure it did since you didn't mention any trouble on the road. That stuff works great if the prep work is done properly.

Thanks for showing up and the words of encouragement.

Get together a 3.8 superchanger meet,to include all SC, XR7's, GTP's, Buick Reagal GS, SSEI's, Riviara's and any one else packing a 3.8 with a supercharger. but to be fair of course we got to let in our Mark VIII brothers.

What do you guy think, that would be a hell of lot of fun especialy at the track. Then you can see what your mods really are worth on the track. jmoa

I have a few goodies from a non-attendee...

June is just too late to plan something in September (especially on a holiday weekend). By June all of the vacation slots are filled for labor-day weekend.

I have high intentions on being there next year.

I'm glad you all had a great time! SC-Ya next year!

Glenn,
somewhere i responded to one of your posts, yea the jb weld held up good, it did start leaking a little bit, just a few drips, the gasket by the Tstat was leaking a lot though, thats where most of the coolent loss was happening. got home ok, took it to the dealer on tuesday they fixed it no questions asked. they didnt say anything about the jbweld being on there. check the "update on cracked intake" thred on what else happened with it.
