Just wanting to know who, if any, are bringing helmets for track use. I don't know the rules for the track that we'll be at but I believe at KCIR it is mandatory that you wear a helmet. I did talk to Jason and he mentioned that he thought several people were bringing helmets.

I'm 95% sure that helmets aren't required unless you are 13.49 seconds or faster, the cutoff used to be 13.99 seconds. Either way you should be there and will probably need one. I might bring an old motor cycle helmet--it's DOT approved, but I don't think it's up to the current NHRA specs.
The track might have local rules and I'm sure Jason will chime in when he reads this.

I've never been asked to wear a helmet at that track.... Of course I've never ran 13.49 or faster :(

On their website OKThunder.com/tech_guidelines.htm (http://OKThunder.com/tech_guidelines.htm) Thunder[bird]Valley says a helmet is required for 13.99 or quicker.
As Jason said, this has not been closely enforced, at least for Fri night test & tune, but we'll round up a few helmets, just in case.
Not that I am in any danger of cracking into 13s.... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

I'll be bringing mine as I'm sure the 92 will run in the 13s at OKC, It has only ran a best of 14.8 at 4000ft elevation, but this will be a different story
