Gentlemen:

Glenn and I have broken the National Meet Awards into the following voting classes. I have had a few sample award certificates printed and they look damn good.

Should I split the Thunderbird/Cougar Class into V6 and V8 catagories?

We don't want anyone pissed, so please post your suggestions or something we forgot to include.

There are tons of other awards (i.e. Longest Distance Driven, Best ET per Class, Elimination Winner, Best Dyno Score per class, Best NYC Russ Look-Alike, etc), but the following items will be on the voting sheet.

ALL MN12's
Best of Show
Best Burnout
Most Smoke
Best Suspension Setup
Best Rice Look-Alike

SUPER COUPE / SUPERCHARGED XR7 CLASS
Best in SC Class
Best Modifications
Best Stock
Cleanest
Best Exhaust

THUNDERBIRD/COUGAR CLASS
Best in TC Class
Best Modifications
Best Stock
Cleanest
Best Exhaust

MARK VII CLASS
Best in Mark VIII Class
Best Modifications
Best Stock
Cleanest
Best Exhaust

Thanks!

How 'bout an award for the person who has invested the most $$$, but no modifications to show for it?

...and don't forget the award for the highest number of "beverages" consumed w/o turning into a worthless pile of flesh - Dave

:x

you need to add a class for best sound system. A lot of these guys like to build up some awesome stereos in their cars.

how about "most miles on original headgaskets" for the 3.8 and 3.8sc guys :)

Do you mean sound by best exhaust? I think the best flowing system short of straight pipe is probably the setup Beedogg was running which was upgraded pipe, no cats, terminator resonator, no rear mufflers. It also sounds wicked.

Are we speaking purely in a nastiest, meanest, sweetest sounding exhaust sound or what you wish you had on your daily driver. I know mine will almost make you cover your ears in the back seat at 3,000 rpms and it gives some vibration.

Last I heard on headgaskets I think Dan Holleran would have the record on original headgaskets, he just topped 200K miles.

57K miles and still original but my day will come I'm sure.

Kurt,

Speaking from experience I was VERY glad I divided up my awards for the SC/Non-SC birds/cougars. I had only 4 SCs show and 10 V8s. However, the V8s woulda walked away with ALL of the awards if it wasn't for me dividing them up!

I don't consider this a slap in the face to V8 vs. V6....but it's a HECK of a lot cheaper to modify the V8s plus there is a bunch more of them out there! You might even want to divide them up into best of 1989-1993 and best of 1994-1997 class.

All of the V8s that showed at mine were '94 or newer. Anyway, if you want so other pointers, advise, or some programs to print awards, please let me know!
