We will be meeting at 7:45 am at McDonald's at the intersection of I-44 and 141 (http://www.mapquest.com/cgi-bin/ia_find?link=btwn%2Ftwn-map_results&uid=u0.a.8o 7ebjaw3ob%3A2l56z25610&SNVData=3mad3-g.fy%2528ays1fy_%2529f75gub%253bah7-%253d%253a%2528HX%253a%2528%2511E%253abg1utn%253d% 253d1lqaa2%253d0%2Crb%253b7%253bb5m-r2qfj5m%253be10h%25284&pcat=&aphoto=0&MAP_AB_LABELS=&WORK=&mouse_mode=zoomin&map.x=172&map.y=115) on Friday morning. We will depart at 8 am and head west on I-44. If anyone wants to spend Thursday night in St. Louis, let us know. There are a couple of us that have room for a few people to stay.

We will be meeting a guy in Springfield so we thought it might be good to meet at the Bass Pro Shop, so there is something to do while waiting for the group/him to show up. And click here (http://www.mapquest.com/cgi-bin/mqtrip?link=btwn%2Ftwn-ddir_na_basic_main&uid=u6k4ybaay6_4t3ab%3A2l5zanq0z0&oabgcderr=&dabgcderr=&avoid_ferry=&avoid_lmTD_access=&avoid_toll_roads=&route_type=&results_display_mode=&LangOpt=&AB_LABELS=&WORK=&CCNA=&addr_0=%5B2500-2598%5D2500+E+KEARNEY+ST%3A372394%3A-932445&OPC=null&CITY_0=&STATE_0=&ZIP_0=65898&CC_0=US&ADDR_1=&DPC=null&CITY_1=NORMAN&STATE_1=OK&ZIP_1=&CC_1=US&POIRad=2.0&dir.x=28&dir.y=9) for directions to Norman, OK from Bass Pro.

So what do you guys think? It's 200 miles to Springfield and then another 300 miles to Norman, OK. Do you mind stopping for a little while in Springfield, MO for an early lunch? I don't want to be there for more than an hour.

Also, you guys might want to bring some of those 2-way personal radios. You can get a pair of 14-channel radios for about $35.

Hey Kurt, I was talking with Dave(DD IOWA) and we're supposed to meet up here in Nebraska, along with my brother. Anyway, I know that you and him were talking about possibly meeting up in Joplin Missouri. I'm thinking that that isn't going to work to well for us, becuase we were planning on heading south down through Wichita, and you guys were planning on taking a SW angle across Missouri. To meet up with you guys in Joplin, it would be about 300 miles out of our way(150east, then 150 back west). So, unless you want to totally change your plans and head west through Kansas City and Topeka, and meet up with us in Salina, I guess we will just see you guys there. I would really like to meet up with you guys, so there are more of us, but I live in the wrong state, so what are you going to? Oh well. Just thought I'd let you know what is going. Talk to you later.

We'll see you at the meet. I haven't checked the mileage thru KC, but I would assume that it would be somewhere close to the additional 150 miles or more (we're already at 512 miles). This would mean that we'd either arrive later or have to leave STL earlier. Leaving earlier won't work because a couple of people are driving a ways to get to STL and that would be tough on them. And we already should be arriving btween 2-3pm, which is the middle of the 12-5 suggested arrival time. With the detour, that could be closer to 5pm.
