It's the chassis designation

It's a code word used internally by Ford to identify the chassis. Generally speaking, all cars have such a code. For example Supras are known as MkI, MkII, etc, and Mercedes used to have the "S" chassis and the "C" and so on. Chrysler used to have the "A-body", "B-body" etc. Not all chassis codes are generally known or used. Strangely enough, even though the Mark VIII shares most of our chassis components, design and measurements, they chose to call it FN10 or something like that.
