I tried to simply change the oil....thought it was a 5/8th's socket...somehow I stripped the outside of the plug...now i can get it off....not even vice grips...the pulg is sort of "tucked" in the case....I'm ready to weld a bar on it to remove it....any ideas???..Are the drain plugs available in parts stores or only at the dealer?

you can get them anywhere, try a slightly smaller socket and hammer it on, then use the breaker bar. and I believe the oil plug is a MM socket.

An easy out will pull it out nicely. Of course you will have to replace the plug with a new one, but you would have to do that in any case.

Just be sure to not drill too deep.
