Hey guys,
I am in the process of replacing my water pump and decided to take out the radiator for a real good flush. In the process as you all know I had to take off my IC. Well I looked in that thing and it was bad. Lots of oil and such. So I put about 1/2 inch of that castrol degreaser (in a purple gallon jug at napa $6.99) in there and filled it the rest of the way with water. 15 min later I dumped out what looked like a gallon of motor oil out of it. So I did it again with the same results. I did this 4 times each time an *** load of oil came out of it ( I dont think it had been out of the car EVER). To dry it I put a hair dryer in one side and stuffed rags around it to keep the air flowing through it. I imagine this will greatly increase the effenciancy of my intercooler as well as help it flow better. Just thought I might give you guys a hint.
