I can't decide whether to make the 800 mile(each way) trip. Just wondering if anyone is travelling as far or further.

There will be awards for the top-3 longest distance traveled.
Thinking hard about 800 miles? Hell that's a snap for the real SCCoSW die hards. The distance is never an issue, time to goof off is of course. Accoriding to mapquest the XB70 will log 987 miles one way from Columbus, GA to Norman, OK. Looks like one day's worth of driving. A good strech for our long legged birds, if you ask me. Mike Puckett is coming from Atlanta so that's another 1000 mile jaunt. Nothing to it ya all.
SC (err...MN12) YA all there.

It's only 512 miles one-way for me, but I have made the 790 mile one-way trip to Carlisle, PA for the last 2 years.

Damn I'd love to go, but 1388 miles is a bit much to travel, especially to put that many miles on my SC. Heck, if I changed the oil right before I left, I'd have to change it again when I got home! Mapquest.com estimated it as a 24hr drive, but I'm sure I could cut that down by quite a bit :)
What are the longest-traveled prizes? Id like to know what I'd win if I somehow decide to go.

Mapquest estimates 1525.7 miles/25.5 hrs. from my home (Long Island, NY) to the hotel. This is not including all the traffic I'll hit. I mean @#%$, I hit enough traffic going to and from Virginia in a WRX.
Can you say, "WINNER!!!"

If it's 1525 (one way)miles for MN12Kid then it's the same for me because I live in Long Island, NY as well.
See you all in Carlisle next year?

i'm going 1350 straight from the west coast. i didn't realize how far that is, but since it's the nat'l meet, i'm gonna have to be there. i'll be busy doing oil changes that week.
i'm still debating whether to drive my car or not.(debating between driving and towing, so my sc will definently be there)

Everybody sign up with miles either flown or driven. It'll be an amazing number (just don't let greenpeace get ahold of it!)

I don't know, but I know I'll be there with 1, maybe 2 SCs. & I'm coming from NE Colorado if anyone wants to hook up! I'm planning on runnig out to the CO/KS state line & running south towards Amarillo in hope of hooking up with the rest of the SCCoSW coming west from the SW states; if they would just send me some cell #s so we can coordinate our rendevous

I'm too lazy to figure this out. How many hours and how many miles would this be from Chicago? I'm about an hour and a half out of Chicago, but I can get there in about 45-60 minutes if traffic is moving. I'm debating about going, but I might just go to Columbus instead. I'm a die hard SC fan, but sometimes I have to be reasonable.

Hah-Hah mines 1540 on my ODO (I've done it twice) from San Diego, but I'll be arriving 1 month late. I'm in the military and transfering from San Diego to Jacksonville, FL Oct 1st with a month stop off in Tulsa, OK (home). Add those miles up!

Mapquest says 1287.6 miles and 22 hours and 22 minutes from Roanoke Rapids, N.C. to Norman, OK. If this "old man" can do this you "kids" don't have any excuses. GET YOUR BUTS THERE.

I am at 1955 miles and as bad as I want to go I won't be able to make it. I will just be getting back from a trip to Iowa and I can't afford an additional week off from work. Hope you all have a great time, I know it will be a blast!
