ijust got my car to start after having a problem with the timing (thanx you guys for the help) but theres no oil pressure and you can hear the pistons rubbing the cyl. walls. any suggestions on where to go from here.

Did you prime the oil pump? Simply pack the gears with vasoline. Make sure your wire is on the sensor also. Just don`t run it till you have oil pressure.
I go as far as to unhook the wires to the coil pack and crank it till it shows oil pressure.

Prime and fill

You should prime the pump (oil or pack with vasiline) and 3/4 fill the oil filter too. If the blower is out of the way, mark the CID position and pull the CID, pull an old CID out of the junk yard and pull off the gear. Then install that to prime the pump with a drill (maybe someone sell a tool for this), with the key on, the dash gauge will read pressure. Replace the CID and check the timing.
