What's happening with the National Meet??

I understand that there are a lot of college people that cannot go due to their finals that week. Also that is the same weekend of the Ford-vs-Chevy meet in Okc so the tracks will probably be very busy!

We need to decide if a different weekend would be better for everyone. I suggest a 3 day "holiday" weekend to accomodate people who may have to drive a ways.

How about Memorial Day weekend? May 25-28???

Kurt Sunday had an earfull at the Vegas meet about the colleage dates. We are kicking it around to see if we move up or down a few weekends. Probably will put it up for a vote again real soon and see if the feedback this time is a little more resonant.

By the way the mystery guest at Vegas was the Prez, Bill Evanoff himself. He now has a thorough understanding of the SCCoSWs event standards!! Bet he was howling seeing it all. I was not flying there cause I want to be at meets with my SC too. It was 1952 miles from Georgia to Vegas so it wasn't going to happen for me this time, but OKC is already time and budget, Okay!

Funny thing is the FordvsChevy guys are college students too, so I wonder why it doesn't affect them to do OKC that weekend. Personally it would intesify the purchasing power if we were there at the same time the FvsC folks were there.

Memorial Day weekend is a non-starter. Every trooper will be on overtime pay, millions of cars on the nations by-ways and accidents and traffic jams to go with it.

You all be hang in there and will let out the plans real soon.

I set aside Vacation time and convinced my wife to let me go, but I have a committment already on Memorial Day. My son plays on a SELECT traveling baseball team and they have to defend their Championship Title from last year at a tournament in Eastern Washington.
So PLEEZE choose another weekend?:rollin:
