'05 Stang Spotted In TO

I'm walkin' to class at UofT and what is cruisin' as fine as can be down university with cops front and back and a camera crew right in front? A 2005 Teal Blue Mustang GT. Needless to say it was doing no more than 40 km/h but it was still a beaute. What a glorious day.

I may have a T-bird now but that car is my dream car. What does it matter. I'm a Ford lover inside.

Here I thought the fact it was a Mustang was reason enough.

This kid at work was telling us his friends dad bought one and he starts telling us they (not "his" but "they" as in from Ford) have 500hp.... lol!! I was like "NO!" and he keeps trying to tell me they do... I spit out the specs... new 3 valvle per cylinder, SOHC 4.6 w VVT making apx 300+ HP and more low end torque than a DOHC. He was like... oh, well this guys is Supercharged.... I'm like "whatever" If it IS supercharged then he did it up becuase 05 are NOT SC'd like the 03 SVT!

Anyway, I seen a shiz load of em in Detroit at the Dream Cruise... new 'Vettes too! I like the new Stangs but I don't think they look aggresive enough! I'm shure the Shelby version will look better. Right now they look way to small and basic... the GT has extra lights in the middle of the grill and I don't like that either (even if it is like a 70 or whatever) I think the concept looked much better with the extra scoops behind the side glass and the tails that went all the way across the back like the Shelby/Thunderbirds of the 60s!

When I was in daerborn a year and a bit ago I saw a 05 Stang all Cammoed up, White with black spots. Wish I had my camera.. It was cool to see. And there wont be a Cobra until next year.. then the new lightning will be out the year after... I think... or the otherway around.. I dunno... :rolleyes:

My son works with those guys.He drove the 05 stang and he sets them up for film shoots including detailing mirros ect...

I saw that stang. It would have to be my first real life sighting but only in a pic in MM&FF (Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords but you should know that already right?). I wonder who came up with the idea for that lame paintjob? I thought it was a Mustang. Not a Zebra.

The new Lightning will be out for the 2006 model year and the Cobra for 2007. Svt are always 2 years after the Ford version.
