i really have no idea about engines etc whatssover. i got a bird 2 month ago just because its an underrated veicle and rare on street now i fell in love with it
( latest updates : Tints , Painted red brake calipers, Treated body work ( no more rust) , removed side moldings.. looking for more things to screw around with)

ahhhh......when you buy the 89-93 SC...... instead of swaping motors, why not keep the Sc and sell the LX

kano,
You'll need a lot more than just the motor out of a donor car. You would also have to swap over all of the electronics, including EEC. Does anyone know if the automatic tranny needs to be swapped? Were they different for the SC's vs. the LX's?
I can't say I blame you for coveting the SC over the V6 LX, but IMO you're probably better off just selling the LX and buying a fairly clean SC to replace it with. Otherwise, if you're going to go through the trouble of swapping a different motor into the V6 LX, I would go with something a little more rare. Perhaps a done up 5.0L? ...Or maybe a big-block? Either way, you're talking about a lot of money and effort to make it happen.
Best regards,
Sean
yeh.. my friend mechanic told me it would take balls to go through all that trouble , and its easyer to get a clean SC

SURE YOU CAN!
Kano, you can do ANYTHING to your car you want or can think of. It really boils down to TWO things.
1) is it worth doing?
2) more importantly, can you financially afford to do it?
Really, that's all you need to ask yourself when playing with cars.
If I had $1,000,000 i'd drop an F1 engine in LB. Is it worth doing? Yup. Can I afford it? Only in my dreams. ;)
