I have noticed that there is a lot on new things happening in the SC world as far as new parts. Blowers, turbos, headers etc... I was just wondering if anyone else besides MP is making a FMIC or our cars. I want one but to get it to Canada it is almost $2000.00.

I am in Calgary.
Make your own :D Go onto e-bay and find a FMIC...like one from an audi or similar...and then have someone make custom tubes for you...This is my intention coming in the very near future :D

Looks good, but I might would at least drill holes in that Diamond Plate so as not to obstruct the flow of air any more then need be to the radiator. Or, I would built a bracket frame that would allow you to mount the intercooler the same way you have it just not have all that center section covering you a/c and radiator. It may not be a problem. I want to build my own intercooler setup also and I will be saving these pics for future reference. Where did you get a s/c top that faces the front, did you make it yourself.

Awesome setup, i'm debating to go like this or to change it to a air/water IC , and maybe trying to put the air to water IC in the stock location or in the location u have it in now.. magnum powers has problems with cooling with there front mount (ever since i seen there kit i had a feeling it would of happened)(for those that think i'm lien, i believe i posted it also after seeing pics of it), so i'm very afraid to put something in the front of my radiator now, but your setup is alot better because its half of the radiator, i have eliminated all of my A/C Stuff so i'm really debating on this, also i going to put a fullsize radiator (probably the aluminum dual 2" core racing mustang ones on ebay for like 250ish ) also.did u get rid of your a/c ? i think i'd help regaurdless to put a bigger radiator in sence your kinda blocking some air with that...do u have any fans inbetween each other of the IC and the front of the radiator ? once again :) nice setup, u got more pics of how u ran the IC tubes towards the bottom in the engine compartment, i have a MAC CAI so i hope its not in the way to route the IC tubes, i have a top exactly like yours i bought it from CougarSC, just waiting on a design i really like and also funds $$ :) did u put your SC back together wondering now your engine coolant temp if it moved anywasy or not ? Thanks Alex L

That area covered by the diamond plate is covered by the nose of the hood anyway. All the air is coming up from the bottom of the facia and through the vents each side of the front of the facia. If I think I'll get better flow through the rad, I can always cut a big hole in that piece. It's only there to mount the IC to.
The intercooler is made by Hybrid out of Austrailia. Its 3X12X 12 with 3" ins and outs. It cost me $300 on ebay (scratch and dent sale) for the IC, the aluminum mandrel bends were $125 on ebay, the steel mandrel bends for the lower tubing was around $50 on ebay, I paid $130 to get it all welded together and to have retention beads welded on, 4' of silicone hose was $35 on ebay, I bought the diamond plate along with some other pieces of aluminum that I used for the mods to the intake for about $18, I bought the custom front exit blower top from Jerrod who is selling them for $175, and the t-clamps were $30. So.. the total is around $813 plus some misc. hardware and lots of hours of cutting, grinding and scratching my head.

A PWR liquid to air intercooler would probably be able to sit right in front of the M90 while retaining the shortest piping to the manifold.. I think it can be done with a Cervinis hood.. They are very compact in size and very efficient.. This one is a 4x6.. I know the 4x10's have supported up to 800rwhp on some cars.. Ill be going with a 4x10 for my Eclipse soon enough also..

I think I have decided to go for a DIC and run an 8" fan. Since I am getting the new AR blower the DIC should cool well enough.
