To test for proper operation of the clutch switch, do the following:-
The self-adjusting C-clip on the rod that goes through the clutch switch should be near the end of the rod. If it is not, position it about 1 inch from the end of the rod and press the clutch pedal all the way to the floor to reset the switch.
Using an ohmmeter, check the three switches in the clutch switch assembly:-
1) Terminals 1 and 2 (red-light blue wires) of the clutch interlock switch are normally open and close when the clutch pedal is 1 inch before full-down position.
2) Terminals 3 and 4 (light green and red-light green wires) are normally closed and open when the clutch pedal is moved 2 inches.
3) Terminals 5 and 6 (gray-yellow and purple-yellow wires) are normally open and close when the clutch pedal is moved 2 inches.
