Using single port mustang heads on a SC

I've been porting heads for a few years part-time and full-time for the last 6
months. I want to come out with an attractive option for supercoupe guys
and it would cost me less (and thus lower cost) if I could sell single port
mustang heads. They bolt up fine and the deck is the same thickness. So, in
real terms, they work. But is there a fear or underlying assumption from the
overall supercoupe community to stick with heads stamped "SC" in the corner?
I always read about "heat treatment" and its my own personal opinion that
they are the same strength, Ford wouldn't have used a weaker deck head
after all those stock head gasket failures in the early 90s.

So I guess what i'm asking if you need ported heads and I have mustang
heads for $1300 and SC heads for $1450 which would you buy? (assume the
flow numbers, port work, etc, are same and excellent for each)

Thanks.

Water passages are quite different on the NA V6 heads I have seen. The NA water passages are a lot closer to the combustion chamber.
