Solid steel engine mounts - pros/cons ?

Will solid steel engine mounts freak out the knock sensor?
Will they freak me out?
Is everybody freaked out over nuthin'?

Since these V6s are not balanced it will probably vibrate too much. I had bad motor mounts and you could feel every power pulse through the floorboard. The motor felt pretty rough and that's with just the drivers side on the metal limiter. I don't think the oil pan was rubbing but it might have been on that side.

I think some good solid rubber mounts and a torque strap ought to do the trick.
 
I can recall a post from one of the Dave's using a chain as a torque strap and it screwing up his knock sensor. So I'm sure metal motor mounts would be worse.

For the strip, who cares about the knock sensor. Override the sucker with a chip and put the pedal to the metal.

For the street, metal mounts would bite.
