I have been having a problem with my front suspenion lately. Everytime I hit a bump etc. my steering wheel bounces up and down. I just had it into a shop today, and they said the drivers side outer tie rod was shot (had travel in it) so i had them replace it. But now on my way home i hit a few bumps and noticed allthough slightly improved, the bounce is still there???
Any ideas what is causing this???

Don't know if this is needed but, car is lowered 1.5" ST springs, Tokico Struts/shox, TCCoA agressive allignment.

Thanx

`what doyah mean barqs has bite.. er

what do you mean by the steering wheel going up and down???

the nuts that hold the coloum on are `pinch' nuts, so what are the odds of them Wiggling loose.. unless it has been dropped and someone reused the old bolts

Also i had my outter tie rod go <still haven't done an alignment ;) > but my steering wheel never `bounced' or anything...

did they/you check the rack itself??

thanx Bill :)....

Yeah Kevin, if u hit a bump etc. the steering wheel will shake up and down a bit....before gettting the new tie rod, i would say it pobably had a half inch of travel, now it's maybe a 1/4 inch...but still there should be virtually none.....i mean some vibration on a car like this lowered etc. would be acceptable, but not shake/bounce in the steering wheel.
Don't think they checked the rack....i mean they didn't take it out or anything...they just pulled and yanked on all the front pieces till they found movement in the outer tie rod.......
I don't know what it is, but it's kinda pissing me off
