what are intakes worth???

Just kinda lookin to refresh my memory and give me something to plan for...what are htey worth? Any general consensus on what works best and what not. I don't htink building my own is a good idea, cause i'm handicapped and what not, so don't worry bout telling me to do that...but whats the deal? I don't so much care bout looks as my engine looks nothing special anyways, it'd be nice if it looked ok, but i'm not going for looks, it's under the hook


Anyways, whats the low down on intakes...good bad etc
