Yes I have changed the selinoid and the starter to fix the problem but it seems that it has not fixed the problem.
When I start the car the starter seems to stay engaged for about twice the time I have the key in the start position? Are these two related?
My car has always seemed to turn over slow compared to other SC's, so sometimes the starter stays engaged for up to 5-6 seconds after the motor is running. It makes a terrible noise but does not seem to do any damage to the starter drive or the flex plate teeth?
Any help would be great.
