This how to article from MN12 Performance pretty much covers all the steps.

Cool!

I hate to hijack, but where on the tank is this picture? I have a leak and it only happens when the tank is full. It isn't the fuel pump or the fill up tube, and I resealed the vent. I don't remember seeing this. Please help. Is this valve with 2 hoses high enough to be my leak?

Hijack - are you sure it's not the pump. Ford's OEM manufacturer had a run of bad pumps around 1991 (recall on certain models). It occurred where the fuel line passed thru the cover plate and only surfaced when the tank was filled. You might want to use a flashlight & mirror to see where the fuel is ponding before it runs off the side of the tank. I went thru this on my wife's Escort GT; fortunately it had an access plate under the rear seat, so I was finally able to see it.

I already pulled the tank down. The leak is coming from somewhere above the pump. I could see the run marks running down next to the pump.

It's a vent near the rear of the tank. One of the hoses connects to the fuel fill and the other goes across the top of the drive shaft to the other side of the tank, where it attaches to a similar fitting.

That's easy...try stuffing two of those pumps in the same tank and still keep the fuel level sender, like we did on my turbo car.

The next person to drop a tank can do us all a real favor and see where the pump is located, in relation to the rear seat. Maybe remove the rear seat and drill a pilot hole, so we have some dimensions to work with. I'd love to cut a hatch for permanent access to the pump. I've had it OEM on other Ford models, with a removable alum. cover, but not the t/bird.

One other thing you may want to look into is whether or not your fuel lines are leaking. I had this happen once on my old '89 XR7. The plastic stock lines rub against the body and can cause them to ware down and leak. Just a thought.
