What does that handling button really do?

I just noiced it the second time i was in the car, and I was wondering what it does. It has an auto and "sport" mode or something. It's next to the fog light button.

The shocks have a little gizmo attached at the top.

I believe it compresses the shocks a little. If you have good shocks it's a noticeable difference. When you get on the gas hard they automatically change to firm ride.

When you flip the switch from auto to firm. A motor on the top of each shock turns a pin inside the shock. That pin controls the dampening inside the shock.

It makes it so that the shock doesn't compress and expand as easy as it did in "soft" mode. So when you hit a bump the shock doesn't move as fast, thus firming up the ride.

A better question would be "What does the fog light switch do?" Might as well stick a candle out the window! :D
