Alternator Output

I recently had my alternator tested at Autozone due to having noticed multiple symptoms of electrical system voltage drops.

The alternator was tested on the car, and they rated its output at 102 amps @ 2000rpm. I know our alternators rated from 115 to 125 from the factory. Is this difference between their reading and factory output significant, or expected for an old alt? Perhaps Autozones test equipment is skewed?

The electrical symptoms I have noticed are essentially noticeable dimming/browning when the cooling fan, defrost, or other high draw accessories are activited.

Thanks..

i thought our altermators were on a 90 amp output  anyway what kind of extras have you added to the car??

Stock SC alternator is rated at 115amps. It's a fairly rare Mitsubishi model.

I would say the difference is the speed they were spinning it at. I believe the alt is rated at maxrpm which the specs don't show. Likely 4000 rpm or so. So at 2000 rpm you're probably good.
