I bought the Actron code scanner and pulled the codes. I am obviously reading them wrong getting a 3 digit code and for the continuous memory I am geting 2 digit codes. This thing is crap..blink, blink, pause...etc. I have the following codes if anyone has a better idea than I. I think I may just go to Ford and pay the 1 hour rate it takes to pull them.
(The dash is the pause in blinks)
Memory:
5 - 2 - 2 - 5 - 2 - 2
Continuous Memory:
1 - 3 - 1 - 5 - 7 - 5 - 2 - 8 - 1 - 3 - 1 - 5 - 7 - 5 - 2 - 8

Check again, you must be missing some blinks. ;)

Atleast try autozone (they scan it for free) if you cant get it to work, its better than going to ford and having them rape you for something simple.

Dave,
I did this like 10 times and it was the same everytime. It was to the point where my 9 year old was getting tired of turning the key on and off for the test. I will check it one more time and then just go to autozone.

I bought the newer scanner, it gives a digital readout of the actual code.

Dahoop, I have this scanner and it works fine. I think you aren't seeing the LONGER pauses in between which separates the codes..It might be something like:
Code 5
Code 22
Then it repeats the codes again so as to make sure you didn't miss a blink/beep
Code 5
Code 22
The others MIGHT be:
Code 1
Code 31
Code 57
Code 52
Code 8
OR
Code 1
Code 3
Code 15
Code 75
Code 28
Try to see a LONGER pause which separates the codes, a little practice and you'll get it..

Wouldnt it be a three digit code since its a 93. So it would be a 522 and so on.

I've had an Actron scan tool for about six years now and I've never had any problems scanning for codes or anything else with it.
