Hi all. I was just curious (since some have said "moonroof" and others have said "sunroof") if there is any difference in the "roofs" on the SCs.

the 92 I drove had one that slid back inside the ceiling, and also popped up. Depending which way I pushed the switch.
Thats the kind I want to find. But Im not sure which, witch is which. . . .

Sooooooo, any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

MN12s had more than one supplier for their moonroofs. Read this link for the differences between sunroofs and moonroofs (quick answer - moonroof was a marketing term coined by Ford, sunroofs are metal panels, moonroofs are glass panels, thus most sunroofs today are moonroofs): http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20030617.html

So long and short of it is: that they all will slide back into the roof. (right??) :)

Yes, all stock moonroofs slide back into the roof. I don't know if all models pop up.

All of the factory units have a switch in the headliner, a moon roof that slides back into the roof, and a vent feature when the switch is pushed forward. They also have a privacy shade that can be pulled forward and is covered in the same material of the roof.

There are aftermarket units out there, some that do more than the stock unit, most that are do less.
