Recently, a members mother passed away and thinking about this and Jim Demmitt Jr. father passing got me thinking about the song I wrote for my sister after she was killed. It's called "On The Other Side".

Well, the days seem longer and the nights seem darker since you're not here
To think what happened has gotten harder, there went another tear
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder
And I know this to be true
After all this time it makes me wonder
When will we see you

And a rose blooms on the other side, but from here you can not see
It's beauty is great and it's hard to hide and that's the way it's meant to be
We could search for the rose the rest of our lives, look both far and wide
But we'll only find it when we're together, on the other side

The time we were able to spend together is so dear to me
We were making memories no matter where ever we happened to be
But I can't recapture those days of the past no matter how I try
I'm just waiting around till I see you at last, on the other side

And a rose blooms on the other side, but from here you can not see
It's beauty is great and it's hard to hide and that's the way it's meant to be
Yeah, we could search for the rose the rest of our lives, look both far and wide
But we'll only find it when we're together, on the other side

You should record that from audio cassette to MP3 format.
I'm sure someone on here could host it for you David.
I like the lyrics. Wish I had musical talent.
My dad gave it all to my little brother..and I can barely read TAB. He reads sheet music like I read english :D

Rick, you are welcome! :)

Bob, I can't read or write music either. Just lucky I guess at being able to write stuff in verse. I might have a version of it on CD, I'll look for it and if I find it, I'll add an attachment to the post. I'm glad you like the song. My sister was killed 12 years ago by her ex-boyfriend, because she broke up with him and was planning to marry somebody else. The guys in prison and comes up for parole in March, I think. IMO, he ought to stay there till he dies, but we'll see what the parole board says.
