Spanner Nut wrench

I've always just used a big flat blade screwdriver, a hammer and a rag. Put the rag over the tip of the screwdriver to protect the nut, and hit the screwdriver with a hammer.

Torque spec for collar nut...

Yup, you can do it that way but when tightening this large of a nut it very difficult to reach the torque spec this way...you would be supprised how the nuts come loose if not at the correct torque setting...FYI PZ

If you need the spec on this it is 48ft lbs and its a good idea to use some type of lube on the threads...

actually the tq specs on the collar nut are above 100 lb ft. you'd never get that with a hammer and screw driver.
