Alternator voltages

Can someone go out to their car with a volt meter and tell me what the voltage the alternator is putting out at idle is. Haven't had time to get the car to Vatozone to get it tested, and think the 15.5V mine is putting out is just a bit too high for idle.
 
Hi.
Your volt should not be higher than 14.4 at 20 degrees Celsius (68 F).
Because it will boil your battery. Winter temeratures could have higher
volts.

Here you go from my 90.
Engine temp = 180 degree
Engine stopped = 12.95 vdc
Engine @ idle with no accessories on = 14.23 vdc
Engine @ idle with the following accessories on = 13.98 vdc
Bright headlights, wipers, IC fan (800cfm), radio, A/C (plus circulating fan)

Wow.. 15.5V that's a little high!! 14.4V is what it should be cold and around 14.0V is when is hot.

15.5V will hurt the Optima batt. for sure.
 
Thanks for the replies. Might be hitting up Vatozone in t he morning to get it checked out, and possibly replaced.
