Well i finally got my guages installed, and my needles done, here are a few pics.

Also I am guaging interest to see if anyone would want me to paint there needles. Or install your new guages and paint needles, your choice of color.
Here is a rough estimate of pricing,

Needles Only Painted-$20 Shipped

Whole Cluster Done with Brighter 5W5 bulbs(for sides of speedo and tach), and 2 Extra Bulbs Installed for Extra Brightness(on top of speedo and tach where dark spots currently exsist), Guages Installed and Tested- $40 Shipped Back to you

Now Since I am just starting this, anyone who wants there Needles done will have to ship theres to me, I will do them for free if you send me an extra set and pay shipping and ill do your needles for free. Same goes for the cluster, if you can send me an extra i will do yours for free also.

So here come the pics:(I need to learn to use my camera a little bit more, sorry)

 After you paint the needles, how do you put them back to their original location when the potentiometer will spin all the way around? How do you know where to start. Thanks, Rob

I have had to swap guages before and the needle was already removed. How do you know if you put the needle in the right place on guages like the fuel, oil and water temp guages? Thanks, Rob

what all did you have to cut out?

super-merc i will get you some pics of the "common" resting places for the iol and water, as for fuel, fill your tank up all the way, and set it right around full, which needles where already removed?

What do you mean what did i have to cut out? Guage wise?

PS: Also within the next week or 2 i will be playing around with making the needles lit by led's. Just Checking to see if anyone would be interested in that? It will make the needle glow much brighter, and may also be able to do some possible color shift, like say from 1/2 it would be red and then the other half be blue as the needle passes the halfway point.
I will be testing these ideas out and will post pics of how they turn out.
Let me know if you are interested!

Heres some New night shots of mine, with my "chroming" process which i am adding to my package deal, without the led's lighting the needles.

I have been working on the dual color needle thing too. I am having trouble attaching the leds to the optical pickups for the needles. Superglue wont even get hard. I blacked out two of the three optical pickups on the needle hub it self that way the change over will be more instant not a fade. Also, after you paint the needles how is the light brightness useing blubs?

Where did those guages come from? You would have to talkto Scott on the actual guage part(look up fpr the link), i can let him know if youd like. I can ask him at noon if he can do that all i do is install them.

The brightness actually isnt to bad at all, but with led's there is much to be gianed, but due to lack of interest by others, and myself being super busy with boxes, has not made me much time to do more experiments.

I agree with you. Those who do not show interest must have never seen a Lexus gauge pack. If you want to bounce around thoughts on the dual color thing feel free to message me, I would have most likely had a prototype by now but I had to stop and attend to the head gasket fairy. :(

haha, thats funny, i spent like 1 week straigt everyday after work on them, then i stopped and began doing boxes, so as soon as i get some time ill get back to my led stuff, its tons of fun to see just what you can do.

That last set of guages shown have a L E D setup in them There is an additional box that has to be wired into the thing. It controlls the brightness of the cluster and the only thing your rehostat (dimmer switch) controls is the odometer and the needles.
