In the next couple of week I plan on changimg my torque converter from 2200 stall to 2700. The big question is should I go with a 4;10 gear to or not? At the present time I am running 3:73. I dont care about highway driving its all about the 1/4 . My next goal is twelve seconds range. I just dont want to go to far and lose time.

Few points to consider...
What's your redline gonna be?
Shift points?
Trap speed?
Trap RPM?
Fuel system to support all of this?

I see a Lentech input shaft in your future :)

You are probably right about the input shaft. My tray speed with the converter at 2200 and the 3:73 gears is right at 99-100. I shift at about 5700, a tad past the hp. peak. The engine will turna lot more but whats the point. I just want to peak the car for drag racing. All I can but not to much.
