Can i put a 4R70W transmission my 91 SC?

I need to rebuild my transmission on my 91 SC and would like to put the newer 4R70W in it because its suppose to be a better over transmission. Any mods need to be done what so ever to do this???

Yes...lots of mods. Unlike your AOD it's a computer controled transmission. IMO, it's not worth all the work required. Buy a built AOD from Lentech or Art Carr, they can handle all the power an SC is capable of producing.

Thanks David i will just modify my Aod or buy another built Aod.

My 90 has the 4R70W gears in it, not that hard if you don't mind gettng messy.....

I did it over the sumer when my OD went out.

I like it in 1st and 2nd, but the 2-3 shift is kinda wide, hence the wide ration kit....
