This is what the manual says: The module lights all segments of the display for 1 second, blanks them for 1 second, and then goes to normal operation whenever the ignition key switches to the RUN position. The oil change display turns off after 15 minutes if the VMM module is not getting a tachometer signal. This is a diagnostic precaution that could be caused by the engine not running or an intermittent connection.
